2009年获得遗传学博士学位;2011年博士后出站后,加入鱼类分子免疫学学科组,担任助理研究员,对鱼类先天免疫细胞标记基因进行了分子机理研究,并探索了鱼类分子免疫佐剂的应用基础研究。2015年12月晋升为副研究员后,聚焦至鱼类肠粘膜免疫的调控网络分析,为此于2017年3月赴荷兰瓦格宁恩大学访学,与动物科学系细胞生物学与免疫学学科组(Cell
biology & immunology group)的Geert Wiegertjes
教授开展合作研究。目前的研究工作,在鱼类黏膜免疫研究的基础上,有两个方向,包括免疫遗传学和渔药研发。​目前在研项目包括主持国家自然科学基金面上项目1项,参加中国科学院先导专项1项;已完成国家自然科学基金青年基金、面上项目、国家重点实验室开放课题、中国科学院水生生物研究所青年人才项目研究项目及进修项目各1项。此外,还作为骨干参与国家重点基础研究发展计划(973)课题、、武汉东湖新技术开发区“3551光谷人才计划”等科研项目。目前的研究工作聚焦于鱼类肠粘膜免疫系统的免疫调控网络研究。采用分子细胞生物学、生物信息学、营养免疫学等方法,来研究粘膜免疫系统中的免疫细胞和免疫分子的功能和调控机理。采用模式鱼类(斑马鱼)、经济鱼类(如草鱼),并结合体外分选的免疫细胞培养物和鱼类细胞系来进行粘膜免疫基因功能及其调控的研究。

合作情况
2020年至今,与中国水产科学院黑龙江水产研究所石连玉研究员和贾智英研究员,就抗CyHV-3的鲤鱼抗病选育种的抗病机理进行合作研究。在2017年访问荷兰瓦赫宁恩大学动物科学系期间,与CBI组的Sylvia Brugman博士 和 Geert Wiegertjes教授,进行过有关斑马鱼肠粘膜免疫细胞成像和分子机理有关的合作研究。
